LINK seeking nominations for Kentucky Breastfeeding Champion Awards

DSC_3845  The Lactation Improvement Network of Kentucky (LINK) is now accepting nominations for the inaugural Kentucky Breastfeeding Champion award.

LINK serves as Kentucky’s state breastfeeding coalition (as recognized by the United States Breastfeeding Committee) and draws inspiration from the Surgeon General’s statement that “everyone can help make breastfeeding easier.”

Who makes breastfeeding easier in Kentucky?  Who has provided crucial or innovative services to mothers and babies?  Who has created supportive policies and procedures?  Consider large and small actions taken by healthcare providers, teachers, school administrators,
business owners, government agencies, counselors and others.

Nominations can be submitted via email to and are due
by April 5, 2013.  Please include:
– your nominee’s name and contact information

– your name and contact information
– a brief description of why this person deserves to be recognized

The award will be presented at the 4th Annual Kentucky Breastfeeding
Summit on April 17, 2013 in Covington, KY.  Nominees need not be
present at the summit to receive the award.
